Help patients with dementia during their stay in hospital
Volunteers play an important role in supporting our health services to provide quality person-centred care.
There are multiple opportunities for people to volunteer in our hospitals, health services and communities. Some of the volunteer roles include patient support, hospital wayfinding, social support, leisure activity support and community exercise leaders.

Participation in a consultation
Consultations on Engage Western NSW Health are conducted by staff from WNSWLHD and supported by the WNSWLHD Community Engagement Team.

Any feedback or correspondence that you send via the Engage Western NSW Health site, email, text or phone conversation will be stored in a secure area in accordance with the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998.
Moderation
To protect the safety of the community and ensure that the site is a safe space for all participants, comments submitted to the site are moderated by Social Pinpoint and the site administrators from WNSWLHD. Content deemed to be inappropriate, or offensive will be removed in line with Engage Western NSW Health Moderation and Community Guidelines.

User feedback
The information you provide through the feedback tools will be collated and provided to the WNSWLHD team overseeing the project for the purpose of decision-making and development of the service or project. You will not be identified as part of this report, unless we advise otherwise. You will be identified if you are applying to part of a committee or workshop and it is necessary for the team to contact you to discuss your application.
Reports from consultations may also include de-identified quotes from participants in forums, surveys and other consultation tools.

What information is publicly available?
Not all of the information that you provide to us can be viewed by other users of Engage Western NSW Health.
Publicly available information is limited to your username (selected by you) and any comments you leave under that name in the forums or other feedback tools on Engage Western NSW Health. We recommend you protect your privacy by selecting a username which does not identify you and that you do not include personal identifying information (eg real name, location) in you comments.
Reports of collated responses and statistics from consultations may be made publicly available or shared with third parties (eg contractors assisting with project development or relevant stakeholders). Any comments submitted by you included in the report will be de-identified. Statistics and collated feedback will not include any identifying information.

Engage Western NSW Health contains the copyrighted material, trademarks, patents, trade secrets and other proprietary information (“Intellectual Property”) of Western NSW Local Health District and its suppliers and licensors. We own and retain all proprietary rights in the intellectual property. All intellectual property in the content of this site including without limitation to text, software, source code, pages, documents and online graphics, photographs, sounds, audio, video and other interactive features are owned by or licensed to us.
Any original content that you submit or post on our site may be made available to the public and allows users to share your content (with the end user acknowledging your contribution) under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 Australian License.

Disclaimer and Warranties
