Do you have an interest in being active and well? Would you like to bring fun and fitness to your community?

With the motto of 'fun, fitness and friendship', the Health Promotion Team are looking for volunteers to be trained as Physical Activity Leaders to run exercise programs in their community.

You can choose to be trained in Community Exercise, Aqua Fitness, DanceWise or DanceMoves. The Health Promotion Team will be there to support you all the way.

  • Community Exercise

    Community Exercise includes low to moderate activity and exercise in older and less active adults. It includes cardiovascular, strength, balance and group-based exercise.

  • Aqua Fitness

    The Aqua Fitness consists of low to moderate group aerobic activity that uses water for resistance. It is suitable for all fitness levels.

  • DanceWise

    DanceWise is 30-minutes of seated exercise run weekly over 10 weeks. It includes seated movement, memory challenges, brain-training, group games and social interactivity.

  • DanceMoves

    DanceMoves is 45 minutes of seated and standing exercise run weekly over 10 weeks. It includes seated, supported standing and independent movement, memory challenges, brain-training, group games and social interactivity.
