Project update:
We are currently recruiting staff to deliver a new service for 12-25 year olds with severe and complex mental health needs in the towns of Cowra, Dubbo and Orange
Thank you to everyone who shared their experiences and insights on youth mental health in their community.
The findings from the consultations supported our application for additional funding to help meet gaps in youth mental health services in Western NSW.
Recruitment is currently underway to deliver a new service for 12 - 25-year-olds with severe and complex mental health needs in the towns of Cowra, Dubbo and Orange.
About the project
We want to know how we can better support the mental health and wellbeing of young people in Western NSW.
The youth mental health project
- aims to improve how Western NSW Local Health District and Headspace work together to reduce service gaps
- aims to help young people get expert mental health care more quickly
What you tell us will help us to improve how services work together to support local young people. There may be some changes we can make right away and some other changes that we can make in the future.
How you helped
- Sharing your thoughts and experience in our survey to help improve our services for local young people.
- Joining a focus group to look at the feedback from the survey and other consultations and discuss ways to improve our local services.
