About the Strategy

The NSW LGBTIQ+ Health Strategy provides a framework for health services to deliver high quality, safe and responsive health care to LGBTIQ+ people and improve health outcomes for all. The core priorities of the Strategy include:

  • To deliver high quality, safe, inclusive and responsive care.
  • To respond to the health needs of transgender and/ or gender diverse people in NSW.
  • To respond to the health needs of intersex people in NSW.

Feedback on accessing services

If you are a member of the LGBTIQ+ community and in the past 2 years needed to access healthcare in Western NSW, we would like to hear your feedback on accessing services and/or the barriers that prevented you from accessing this care. Your input will help identify priority areas for improving the safety and accessibility of care for LGBTIQ+ people in Western NSW.

We also welcome feedback from carers, family members and friends of LGBTIQ+ individuals, or others that understand barriers and enablers that influence the delivery of care to LGBTIQ+ individuals.

Information gathered through this survey and discussions held across the Local Health District will be valued and help inform recommendations for services.

If you prefer not to participate in the survey or in focus group discussions but would like to share your ideas please contact Ben Walker.
