The Disability Strategy will outline the practical steps we will take to make sure people with disability have fair access to care, feel respected and supported, and are involved in shaping services that meet their needs.
We want to hear from people with disability, their families, carers, and community members to understand what is working, what is not working and where things could be better.
Your voice will help shape how our health services are designed and delivered in the future.
The Disability Strategy will focus on:
- making health services easier to access
- improving communication and information
- the Local Health District role as an employer of people with disability
- creating welcoming and inclusive environments
- listening to lived experience
- designing services with, not just for, people with disability.
Who we want to hear from
We want to hear from:
- people with disability
- family members and carers
- supporters
- Aboriginal people with disability
- children and young people with disability
- health workers and service providers, including those with disability
- community members and advocacy groups.
You do not need any experience to take part — just your lived experience and ideas.
